Computers are small machinery, which demand regular PC health check maintenance for their proper functioning. You can improve the performance of your computer system in many ways. Mentioned below are some of the most common ways to improve the performance of your Windows XP computer system.

Start with removing temporary files from your PC: When you are working on any application or surfing Internet, your system automatically stores temporary files at some place in your PC. After some time these files get collected and eats up a large computer memory thereby slowing down your computer system. As a result it is strongly recommended that you run the procedure to clean up temporary files from your computer.

Run Windows Disk Cleanup utility offered by Windows to remove all the unnecessary temporary files from your PC with computer optimization. Here is the procedure to run to Disk Cleanup:

Step 1. Click on “Start”, and then click “My Computer”.

Step 2. Right-click on the drive you wish to clean for temporary files, and go to “Properties”.

Step 3. Click on the “Disk Cleanup” button in the Properties dialog box.

Step 4. The utility will calculate the amount of space that can be freed up depending upon data stored on the hard drive. After the scanning is complete it will show a list of files that can be removed from the computer.

Step 5. View the files if you want to decide which all files you want to delete and click on “OK” to remove the files.

Rearrange all the stored data on the hard disk: Sometimes, the data is stored in fragmented form on the hard disk. The fragmentation of data on Hard disk results in a slower performing system. So, as to make your system a good performer the data needs to be defragmented. Windows includes a software utility known as “Disk Defragmenter”, which performs the task of defragmentation. Carry out the following steps to run Disk Defragmenter:

Step 1. Click on “Start”, and then click “My Computer”.

Step 2. Right-click on the drive from the list of available drive you wish to defragment and then click on “Properties” tab.

Step 3. Click on the “Tools” tab followed by clicking on the Defragmentation section.

Step 4. Click on the option named “Defragment now”.

Step 5. Now the Disk Defragmenter dialog box will open, select the drive to defragment and then click on “Analyze”.

Step 6. After the completing the task of analyzing the drive, click on the “Defragment” button to defragment all the data stored on that drive.

Similarly, there are several other utilities, which can improve the performance of your Windows PC. These utilities are embedded in the Windows operating system to achieve a better system performance.

This article would be helpful for all of you, as some important tips are illustrated here so that you can use them in future in times of photo disaster or to perform photo recovery.

1.Make a habit of backing up your digital photos regularly
Accidents can happen any time on any device and are unforeseen. So always back up all your critical files and folders. To be on safer side, you can burn your photos onto a DVD, upload them to a hard drive, or upload them to an online storage service. In some cases, you can even upload your key pictures and files to other digital devices. This is supposed to be the best method for photo recovery.

2.After Data Loss, Immediately Stop Using Your Drive
Once corruption occurs in any storage media or there is a data loss, you must stop working on it as doing so may result in overwriting of data and hence chances of photo recovery are reduced to a large extent.

3.Don’t format or initialize your storage media
In case of an accident or data loss event, media devices ask you to reformat your device. You must definitely avoid it. Because you try to reformat there and then, you may actually write over some of the data that may be recoverable. Furthermore, reformatting may not solve the problem rather it will make the situation more complicated.

4.Do Not Try to Open Your Device
Never go into “fix-it” mode, as this will scan the components for damage and will erase the data stored on the device. The inner circuits are sensitive so they are susceptible to permanent damage.

5.Never Expose Your Storage Media to Extreme Temperatures
Always try to protect your device from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight. This could result in ill effects to device and hence the data, photos stored within.

6.Beware of Strong Magnetic Fields
Strong magnetic fields lead to skewing, jostling, and removal of formatting of data residing in storage media. So, never expose your digital media device to a strong magnetic or radioactive field.

7.Use third party Photo Recovery tool to get back your lost photos
Search for top rated photo recovery software and all your lost, deleted photos will be back with you. Photo recovery software performs recursive scanning of damaged storage media and recovers data from it.

8.After photo recovery, clean the drive
Don’t allow old, fragmented data to gum up your media card. Get a fresh start, and keep your media clean.

Best professional photo recovery software recovers thousands of photos in a short span of time. Software also maintains the original formatting properties of the photos recovered. You can try the free demo version of the tool for your satisfaction and then decide on purchasing the tool.
